Matte screen filter for my MacBook Air

Written on the 12th of August, 2025

So, I got an M3 MacBook Air back in December, base model with 16 gigs of memory, so nothing special. I loved everything about it except for the display. Don't get me wrong, its nice and crisp, as well as bright, but glossy screens never sit well with me. And I'm broke as hell, so I sure didn't have money to dump on a pro with the nanotexture finish. I prefer matte displays instead because I don't get awful glare in high light situations (plus, I don't see myself in the reflection lmao). I kind of just stuck it out, and forgot about the fact that I could have just gotten a matte screen filter to put over it until Sunday, so I ordered one, put it on last night, and boy should I have done this sooner. I don't know why I didn't but, this is great. My MacBook Air is now perfect. I've got the macOS 26 Tahoe beta running on it right now (because im just cool like that LOL), and I've really been enjoying the new liquid glass UI design. I'm happy to see a return to the aero and aqua like design language from the early 2000s and early 2010s. I've always admired it, and always wished we'd get a modern version of it someday. Anyways, that's it really. See ya!
